===== Clean up after yourself. ===== | |||
Always leave time to clean up. If you need to leave by 9, stop work at 8:45, get a drink, then start to tidy up. You are never going to perfectly clean up ''exactly'' your mess only... '''So clean 5% more''' than your own mess. Just 5% more. If everyone does this, the shop will be cleaner than everyone left it. You already have the vacuum turned on, or the dustpan in your hand. Tap Handles (On going)
I build custom tap handles (Faucet handles) for beer and other beverages. Typically out of wood, either blanks cut on the Shopbot that will have UV DTF stickers applied or laser etched wood with various fills. If you see me concentrating hard on the drill press im trying to center up the thread insert.
Amatuer Radio Antenna Build Night (2026)
I hosted a DIY antenna build party with the Chaos Koalas group in 2026. We built simple Ground Plane UHF antennas using steel wire and SO-239 adapters. Then we tuned them using a NanoVNA.

Clean up after yourself.
Always leave time to clean up. If you need to leave by 9, stop work at 8:45, get a drink, then start to tidy up. You are never going to perfectly clean up exactly your mess only... So clean 5% more than your own mess. Just 5% more. If everyone does this, the shop will be cleaner than everyone left it. You already have the vacuum turned on, or the dustpan in your hand. Sweep up and put away your mess and a little bit more.
