There is one soldering iron on the soldering bench designated as the "Junky" soldering iron. If you are doing anything questionable, please use this iron instead of one of the Hakko irons.
Questionable soldering iron uses include:
- Melting Plastic
- Burning anything (we have pyrography kits, ask in #general)
- Anything that may leave a deposit on the iron tip
- Anything that requires > 750 F temperature
