PairDrop
Open Source web app that works on Linux, Mac, Windows, Android, and iOS devices that are connected to the internet (WiFi/cellular/Ethernet).
- Open a web browser and navigate to PairDrop on both devices (sender and receiver).
- Use the receiving device to press the
symbol on the top right of the PairDrop page.
- Use the sending device to scan the QR code that is displayed or navigate to the link.
- Look at the bottom of the PairDrop page on the receiving device and note the name and icon that appears below "You".
- Use the sending device to press the icon that matches the name and icon from the previous step.
- Use the sending device to select the files you would like to send.
- Use the sending device to press the "Send" button.
- Use the receiving device to press the "Save" button.
- The files will now be saved to the Downloads folder on the receiving device.
Warnings
Do not use SnapDrop or ShareDrop as they have been purchased by a corporation to distribute adware and they are no longer Open Source.
