How do I opt into SMS notifications?

Wild Apricot, our membership platform, recently added text (SMS) message notifications. This feature will be available for Tampa Hackerspace members soon.

However, this is an opt-in program. If you would like to sign up for text message notifications for classes, events and other Tampa Hackerspace updates, you must provide consent in Wild Apricot. This can be done via member.TampaHackerspace.com or the Member App.

1. Open the Member App and select the My Profile tab in the menu bar at the bottom of the screen. Then, select the blue menu icon in the upper-right corner.


2. Select Edit profile.


3. Enable the slider in the Text/SMS Opt-In (Consent) section located at the bottom of the contact information. You may need to scroll down to see this section.

Make sure you select the Save button in the upper-right corner before closing the app.


1. Log into your account on Member.TampaHackerspace.com.


2. Open your profile, then select the Edit profile button in the upper-left of the page.

3. Scroll down to the contact information, then select the Text/SMS Opt-In (Consent) check box. Remember to save before exiting.
